The mother's strength is beyond comprehensible. Of course, we need to change ourselves, but we also need our leaders to really lead. I hate hearing people say this is "the new normal". How can having deaths that didn't need to happen become "the new normal"? If you are Putin or these police officers how can you look in the faces of your loved ones, how can you look into your mirrors? People are dead who did not have to die so young. Maybe nothing can be done. Maybe we are truly just beasts full of unjustified hatred.
