Thank you for laying out such an interesting description of the process (and the prisons). I am reminded of the 2nd corner in Monopoly: “Just Visiting”.

One nice thing about being a writer is that you don’t need a degree or to get ordained to be a writer. If you write, you are a writer. Good for you!

It was amazing. Eastern State was actually fascinating because they wanted to make prisons more humane when it was built. I actually got an offer to make the article I to a book proposal. I never bothered.

There is a horrible, pain filled old 19th century jail in my home city that has been converted in my lifetime to housing and it has a cinema. You’ll never catch me in there. Also our writers association offers residencies in a historic part of the restored city jail. Not my thing either. Thanks for the wonderful article writing advice Maura.
